Abstract
This study investigates how adaptive learning systems influence student engagement and assessment outcomes in higher education. Using a mixed-methods design across three universities, we analyze learning analytics, survey responses, and instructor interviews to identify design factors that improve formative feedback. Findings suggest that timely adaptive interventions increase completion rates and perceived fairness of assessment, with implications for educational technology adoption and curriculum design.
